MIDDLE SCHOOLS: Major interior renovations throughout to accommodate FWISD education specifications

• New, secured front-entry vestibules
• Corridor upgrades
• Upgrades of common areas/media centers/cafeteria spaces for student collaboration
• Building additions for various campus needs
• Expanded/remodeled media centers, as required
• Refitted science labs and modified classrooms to meet space requirements
• Modified locker rooms and weight rooms, as required
• Life cycle improvements, including mechanical, electrical and plumbing, technology, security, interior finishes, and roofing
• Removal of portables, in most cases
• Minor exterior and site improvements

NOTE: This description is generalized and may not apply to each campus, depending on individual need. 

ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOLS OTHER:

• Construction of a new “Westpark Relief” elementary school in the Ventana neighborhood of Benbrook to ease overcrowding
• Provide replacement campuses at three locations (to be identified at a later date)
• Repurpose an existing campus to accommodate the relocation of YWLA
• Embed four Early Childhood Centers (for 0-3-year-olds) in existing schools
